3D Motion Capture

NorCal Golf Academy offers multiple options for Motion Capture:  GEARS GOLF, MY SWING, K-VEST

How can I hit the ball further?     What does the proper swing feel like?   Is my lower body working the right way?  Am I swaying?  Where am I at impact?

What is Gears Golf?

GEARS is a full swing club and body tracking system used by PGA pros, club fitters, and club manufacturers to measure and analyze every nuance of a swing, in full 3D, from address to follow-through.

Built on the same technology used by biomechanists and filmmakers, GEARS is the most advanced motion capture solution developed specifically for golf.

Measurements, not estimates

Most systems rely on low resolution approximations of swing data, with algorithmic estimates filling in the gaps. GEARS provides hard data, actually measuring the entire swing as it unfolds.

Data. Lots of it.

GEARS analyzes over 600 images per swing, in less than a second. Because both the grip and head are tracked, that data provides significant insight into a swing, even including shaft deflection—information that cannot be obtained by tracking the grip alone.

MY SWING 17 Sensor 3D Motion Analysis

Remove all doubt with 3D motion alanalysis.  With 17 sensors, we can record a  full 3D view of your golf swing, as well as measurement and plot of the kinematic sequence, x-factor stretch, lateral v. rotational motion, handle twist velocity, club head velocity, club shaft angle, front and side bend, pelvic and spine tilt, and much more.

My Swing sensors transmit data from your feet, knees, hips, shoulders, head, arms and club to give a full picture and a very detailed look at your golf swing.  With this analysis we can find power leaks, discover a more consistent swing and keep your entire swing synchronized.

K-Vest 6D

K-Vest 6D  wearable technology measures pelvic, Thoracic and lead hand movement and assesses side bend, bend, rotation lift, sway, and thrust data in addition to measuring the kinematic sequence, which allows for detailed analysis. That helps you better understand power production, injury risk, and consistency issues. And this in turn makes it easier to work on advanced movements and anticipate potential injury risks.
